What to do if you have a dental emergency?
If you have a dental emergency it is crucial to contact your dental office as soon as possible. If you had an injury to the mouth you know a trip to the dentist is immediately required. However, how do you know when emergency dental work is needed? If you experience any of the problems below you should contact your dentist immediately.
• If you lose a tooth in injury
• Broken or chipped tooth
• Broken brace wires
• Swelling and pain should never be ignored
Some problems that don’t require immediate attention but still require attention include:
• Lose teeth (could be a sign of disease)
• Bleeding gums
• Children who lose a primary tooth may need a spacer to stop other teeth from drifting
