RACHEL´S TESTIMONIAL (9 years old)

I like coming to see Dr. MacDonald because... "He always has a joke to tell. He has a Nintendo and the nurses are kind and caring about our teeth show up. Has a water fountain and a bunch of posters including a cool bear and a Good Kids Club. I think that everyone should be as kind as Dr. Macdonald and nurses. Rachel"

SULCA BRUSH

The sulcabrush is a single-tuft brush designed to clean teeth effectively, near the gum line. Used in conjunction with dental floss, the brush can strengthen your oral hygiene routine, by helping remove plaque and reducing the chances of developing gingivitis. Used correctly, it provides a gentle scrubbing around the base of your teeth to remove plaque and massage and strengthen the gum. It is recommended for individuals who have difficulty flossing as a way to support and enhance their daily flossing regimen. Sulcabrush is perfect for cleaning around crowns, bridges, dental implants and orthodontic bands. Services that we offer.

IMPLANTS

Implants are to replace missing teeth. An implant consists of one or more artificial metal ‘roots’ in your jawbone and artificial teeth. They look, feel and perform just like natural teeth. There may be a metal healing abutment (looks like a small metal dome) covering the implant during integration (attachment) with your jawbone. After the initial surgery, it will take 4-6 months for the bone in your jaw to grow and fuse to the implant, during which time you may have a temporary tooth. Once the gum has healed a final impression will be taken and sent to a lab where the final replacement [...]

WISDOM TEETH AND GENERAL EXTRACTIONS

Wisdom teeth, which are commonly known to cause dental problems, are the last permanent teeth to erupt in a patients late teens or early twenties. Not everyone needs to have these teeth removed, but removal can take care of symptoms you currently have or prevent future problems. Some problems that can occur with wisdom teeth are gum infection and disease, tooth decay, root resorption, cysts and poor positioning in relation to your other teeth. It is recommended to remove them early because the older you are, the more formed the roots of these teeth become. Our clinics also offer extractions of other primary and permanent teeth if it is determined that they need to be removed. This can be done with local anesthetic and nitrous oxide. The need for extractions can be diagnosed at your regular dental cleaning appointments. Read more.

Depending on the size and location of the chip, there are a number of solutions available. • Enamel Shaping…A reshaping of the tooth to smooth the chip out • Bonding… A quick solution for small chips that can be done in one quick visit. The dentist bonds a tooth- colored agent to the chipped area to mask the chip. • Crowns… Crowns cover the chewing surface of a tooth and best suited for chips in the molars. They are custom fitted to your teeth. • Veneers… Custom made porcelain veneers are fitted to your teeth to cover imperfections. Contact us for a free evaluation.
